We are happy to invite you all for a play titled, ‘They Do Not Move and other misunderstandings’, a play by Pankaj Tiwari (an APU passout and a professional theatre practitioner).
The play has been performed at several venues in Delhi and is travelling to Europe from January. There will be two shows in Ahmedabad, at ‘Ouroborous -Art Hub ‘Black Box theatre’.
This is an unapologetic adaptation of Waiting for Godot with no particular reverence to Samuel Beckett or the original text of the piece. The play at the onset expresses its inability to understand the original text. The play through its tropes explores ‘Waiting’ as experienced by the audience and ‘Waiting’ as experienced by Samuel Beckett in his life. This is a non-understanding of the original text.
