9th National Teachers Science Congress

National Teachers Science Congress (NTSC) is an initiative of the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India. It aims at providing a platform to the science and mathematics teachers/educators to communicate their ideas, share new experiments in teaching methodology, science education and enhance their level of scientific awareness.

Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Centre (VASCSC) is hosting the 9th National Teachers Science Congress (9th NTSC) during 14-16 December 2018 at Ahmedabad.

The focal theme for 9th NTSC is ‘Design literacy for effective science communication by educators’. Papers are invited from teachers/educators who wish to present their innovative and original ideas in science education and communication based on any of the sub themes under the focal theme.

We are enclosing a poster, a brochure containing guidelines for participation and the registration form. Those who are interested may submit their papers along with the registration form so as to reach us latest by 6 October 2018.

Regional Orientation Workshop: (Saturday 1st September 2018, Bangalore)

For those who wish to get further guidance on the theme, subtheme and paper writing; orientation workshops are also being planned in different regions.
These workshops are intended to help the teachers to fine-tune their paper submission process. One such regional workshop is organised in Bangalore on Saturday 1st September 2018. Please find enclosed the registration form herewith. Venue and time of the regional workshop will be communicated soon.

However, participation in regional workshop is not mandatory for submitting a paper and has no bearing on the selection process for the NTSC. Teachers can submit paper even without participation in the regional workshops.

You are requested to share this information with the teachers and encourage them to participate. This event will be an enriching experience for the participants.
