Opportunities with IUCCA, Pune

IUCAA is setting up a Teaching Learning Centre (TLC), funded by the
MHRD under the PMMMNMTT scheme, for boosting Astronomy education in
the country primarily at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The
centre will develop courses, experiments and resources for teaching
Astronomy and will also facilitate education research. The main goal
is to provide sufficient material and training to College and
University teachers of STEM subjects to enable them to introduce
Astronomy papers in the existing courses at their respective
institutions.

Two top level academic positions have recently been advertised for the
centre, one Academic Coordinator and one Senior Research Staff. These
two members will be expected to take leading roles to drive the
activities of the centre with the help of a number of junior level
academic and support staff. Highly motivated candidates with a strong
background in Astronomy, Physics or Mathematics and interest in
teaching are encouraged to apply. If you know candidates who may be
