Kokum Harvest 2018

BuDa Folklore is bringing back the Kokum Harvest Festival in the pristine forest farm of Angadibail once again! Angdibail is located in evergreen forests of Western Ghats, about thirty km away from Gokarna. Off the Arabian Sea.

A beautiful experiential learning and farm-stay, to harvest and process Kokum – a forest tree species endemic to the Western Ghats and is used both for culinary and medicinal purposes in myriad ways.

We are inviting you to join us for the complete journey of Kokum from Tree to Jar from April 28th to May 3rd, 2018. We’ll gather at the Angadibail forest house to experience harvesting, drying, preservation, and kokum inspired recipes.

We’ll even try our hand making kokum butter using traditional methods.  We’ll also fill the full moon weekend with music, folktales, folk dance, learning local crafts from forest artisans.

For registration and more details e-mail us at budafolklore@gmail.com
Hope to see you there!
