Innovators in Health (IIH) was founded by alumni of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard to ensure that rural communities have access to world-class healthcare. IIH has partnered with leading national and international foundations including the Tata Trusts and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to improve maternal and newborn health (MNH) and tuberculosis (TB) treatment in rural Bihar. IIH has close to doubled access to care in TB, and reduced neonatal mortality by more than a third. It has won numerous awards and is internationally recognized for its
