Azim Premji University announces admissions to its new 4-year dual-degree programme that aims to develop professionals with deep disciplinary knowledge of the Sciences and a profound understanding of the theory and practice of Education. This full-time dual degree programme that awards B.Sc. B.Ed. degree is an excellent opportunity for students completing their 12th grade and looking to expand their horizons in higher education and employment. They will be equipped to become excellent scientists and outstanding science educators. Unique Learning Experience The programme consists of a Common Curriculum, Disciplinary Courses (Life Sciences or Physical Sciences), Education Courses and Field Practice. 1. The Common Curriculum has courses in critical reading, reasoning, advanced writing and understanding India. 2. In the Disciplinary Courses, students can choose either Physical Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics). 3. The Education Courses focus on developing perspectives on education from a variety of disciplines and skills to teach effectively through courses in curriculum and pedagogy. 4. Field Practice consists of practicums and internships covering the diverse school contexts in India together with a semester-long apprenticeship. Eligibility Class 12 board exams in any Indian board or equivalent international certificate, with a score of minimum 50%.
