Disha India Education Foundation has launched Courage to Lead, a learning expedition for school heads and educators. The expedition is designed to help educators understand how to use real-life experiences as a source and pedagogy of teaching and learning in schools and also what does it take create an experiential learning classroom/school. Learning expeditions make the learning real and challenging for children and hence prepare them for life through life.
Courage to Lead is a fully residential 10 day Gurgaon based program which comprises of a 6 day Be the Change Citybound expedition followed by a 4 day implementation module. The Citybound Expedition is from October 2 to 7, 2017 in Gurgaon and the implementation module is from January 2 to 5, 2018 in Gurgaon.
Courage to Lead, a learning expedition for educators was launched in the year 2008 for the first time. This is our tenth year in succession. So far 500 educators from 70/80 different schools and organizations from across India have participated. Some of the schools which have participated in the expeditions are Welham Girls School (Dehradun), The Daly College (Indore),The Heritage schools (Gurgaon and Delhi), Akanksha Foundation (Mumbai and Pune), Mayoor School (Ajmer), Azim Premji Foundation (Bengaluru), DPS (Surat, Patna, Pune, Ludhiana and Gurgaon), Khaitan Public School, Shahibabad, Poddar International School, Ahmedabad and Aurangabad, BalBharati Public School (Noida and Pitampura), Sri Venkteshwar International School (Dwarka, New Delhi), Sangamitra High School, (Hyderabad), Jingle Bell Academy (Faisabad), Sanskriti –The Gurukul (Guhawati), Presidium Schools, New Delhi, Manav Rachna International School, Gurgaon, The Little Kingdom High School, Theni and Al Ameen Academy (Kolkata).
The details of the expedition are enclosed in the brochure. The nature of the expedition is such that we can accommodate only twenty participants. We would encourage you to enroll in the program or nominate your colleagues from your school at the earliest. You can complete the attached registration form and email it to us.
