Do you have a passion for learning and engaging with the issues of social justice ? Do you want to engage with myriad ongoing non-violent social movements across the country ? If you are then Delhi Forum may be the space you are looking for. We are looking for young, energetic, dynamic candidates to fill up one post of Campaign Associate at our Delhi office.
The person selected will be responsible for the following :
- Support campaign / advocacy activities of Delhi Forum and network / partner groups.
- Coordinate activities of Delhi Solidarity Group & liaison with media and networks.
- Travelling to different field areas within India, as and when required.
- Writing, compiling and editing organizational reports, publications etc.
- Any other activity, as arising from time to time.
The ideal candidate for the above profile should have the following :
Ø Young, enthusiastic, willing to learn and committed to progressive politics and ideas.
Ø An under graduate degree (preferred) in Social Sciences/Human Rights/Law or other related field, with a minimum of 1 – 2 years of prior work experience in a similar capacity or area of work (mandatory).
Ø Experience in campaign initiatives, organising, networking, action research and media liasion.
Ø Must have good reading and writing skills in English and Hindi (any other language will be an added advantage) and posses excellent communication skills.
Ø Must be willing to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
Ø The person should be based in Delhi or willing to relocate.
The applicant should be willing to join as soon as possible – not later than 10th of September 2017 or an agreed date.
