Looking for a Project associate in Delhi

Looking for a Project Associate for Sustainable Energy work, to be based in Delhi.

PAIRVI is a non-profit working in areas of human rights, climate change impacts and resilience building / disaster risk reduction, Sustainable Energy etc – both at policy level and with communities. We are also a part of a pan-india network called Beyond Copenhagen Collective  .

We have extensively interacted and intervened in UN, national & sub-national levels in policies & plans in some of these areas, have been actively involved in capacity building of communities and ground level groups in many states, have done leading investigations in some of the areas, have collaborated widely in South Asia & far beyond.

We are looking for a project associate, for an initial period of one year, for our Sustainable energy & climate response work.

We are looking for a young & energetic person —

** preferably with some science background / familiarity with environmental issues, methods,  language /terms,

** preferably a knack to work through state policy documents, studies etc and prepare reports etc,

** with reasonable language skills in English and Hindi,

** Willingness to learn new areas, and work to schedules,

** Willingness & ability to travel across the country and interact with a variety of people.

The selected PA will join the small existing group on Sustainable Energy & Climate Response at PAIRVI, with an opportunity to learn key emerging issues & skills and travel & meet a wide variety of places & people.

The appointment will be on a probation for 2 months, and for an initial period of one year .

The compensation offered is between 20-25 K, depending upon capacity & experience.  For exceptionally capable person, a higher initial amount may be considered.
