List Editor of Kerala Scholars eGroup

Applications are invited for List Editor, Kerala Scholars eGroup.

This is a voluntary position to co-manage a moderated listserv/platform of 540+ members who share an interest in Kerala studies.

Application format: Please send your application as a single .pdf file containing

  • your CV; and
  • statement of purpose (100-150 words) outlining your reason for applying and the skills you bring to the position.

Deadline: 5 December 2016, 10pm (India).

Responsibilities: Successful applicants will work with other List Editors to run the group on a day-to-day basis. Typical tasks are: searching for fresh scholarship, posting messages to the group, moderating discussions, managing subscriptions, promoting membership, and enhancing member participation. In addition, the List Editor will liaise with the Advisory Board and help the Advisory Board frame group policies.

The initial appointment will be for 2017, with potential for re-appointment. Hence, those willing to serve for two years (2017 & 2018) are encouraged to indicate this in their statement of purpose.

Eligibility: Any member of the Kerala Scholars eGroup (as of 20 November 2016) may apply.

Selection: All complete applications will be shared with the recruitment committee of the Advisory Board, and selection will be by the committee. There are three vacancies, but positions may be left unfilled if there are no suitable candidates. The recruitment of List Editors is subject to approval of the Advisory Board.
